Why am I getting a "550 5.7.1 Fix reverse DNS for a.b.c.d,or use your ISP server" when sending email?

The Sender's mail server has failed the reverse dns lookup test. The sending server must have an ip address that will successfully reverse translate back to a name. Contact the administrator of the sending email server and have them correct the problem.
